Week 4

This week we have been doing more on poems and onomatopoeia. We have also continued with stable structures but this time with matchsticks instead of straws. We have been making stable bases. I learnt that if you put sticks all around the inside of the square it will be stable.  We also went to Perc Tucker Gallery in town to view their artwork and have a good time. Our teacher read 2 books: The Water hole and Where a Rainbow lives. We had a great time observing all the wonderful art. I wish we could go back. 

Week 1 of Term 4 Schoolwork

In the holidays i went to a friends house to sleepover. The next day he came to my house to sleepover. We played Nintendo DS and GC (Gamecube). Then we went to the beach and played. We got stuck in boggy mud and we had so much fun!! Then we played more GC and then he had to go home. This term we are learning about poetry and alliteration. We are also learning about A NETWORK OF FRIENDS A NETWORKED COMMUNITY    

Week 7

We went to the disco last week and our theme was the Olympics.
We also had the grade 11 students here to do science with us.
We had the grade 9 students coach us for sport. We had heaps of fun. I’ll tell you more next week. Bye!!

Week 5

This week we have been learning about myths and legends. For science we learnt how to make a film canister blow up. When we put baking powder in vinegar the lid blew off. In maths we are mainly learning about fractions. Now I’ll tell you an interesting fact. Did you know that a blue whale’s heart beats 9 times per minute?
